PTE can be a valuable option for individuals with above-average English skills but not complete proficiency. Even with varying levels of English proficiency, a high score is achievable through proper strategy and practice. Conversely, IELTS is more suitable for those proficient in English and requires a score of up to 7.5 or 8 bands. However, individuals with above-average English skills may still need assistance achieving a score of six IELTS bands.
Therefore, choosing the exam that matches one’s language ability, is accepted by the desired university program, and meets the score requirements is essential.
